Proofing A Document

One of the wonderful miracles of Microsoft Word 97 is that it will "proof" your document for spelling and grammar errors. It will also offer suggestions for correction.

Word automatically checks your spelling as you type. If it finds a spelling error, it will put a red wavy line under the incorrect word. If it finds a grammar error, it will put a green wavy line underneath the incorrect words.

To learn about Word's proofing capabilities, you will work with a Word document provided with this lesson. You will open the document. You will perform a spelling and grammar check, and save the corrected document under a new document name. So, let's go!
